Osuna
Osuna’s education is impressive. He earned a degree in Architecture with a minor in Solar Energy from North Carolina State University. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in Architecture and Graphic Art from Ohio State University. After completing his education, he returned to Venezuela and became a Professor at both Unexpo University and the School of Interior Design at the renowned IDC Design Institute, which he also co-founded. Osuna continued to pursue his passion for art, always learning new skills, and experimenting with various techniques. The combination of Osuna’s fascination for art, life experiences, and vast education, results in his innovative and groundbreaking artwork. Gravitating toward kinetic and abstract art, Osuna is inspired by the philosophies of Jackson Pollock, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Victor Vasarely, and Jesus Soto.
Osuna pushes visual kinetic art into new territory, by fusing visual kinetic art, with action painting, and abstract art. Incorporating diverse materials, such as, wood, geometric lines, acrylic paint, and metal, Osuna’s artwork appears to come alive. The distinct textures, vibrant colors, individual brush strokes, and organic metal shapes combine to create an illusion of movement. For Osuna, each piece is a physical release of his emotions. Never using a template, or pre-planning what he creates, each piece of art is uniquely distinct. Osuna’s artwork immerses its viewer affecting their emotion and interpretation in different ways. This personal experience is named “The Osuna Effect.” Digital images cannot compare to viewing the art in person. The final touch of the artwork’s story is written by its new owner, who is invited to name it based on their individual experiences.
