Born on August 6, 1956, in Venezuela, Oswaldo Osuna, professionally known as “Osuna”, has dedicated his life to his love for art. He came to the United States at the age of 21 to pursue a degree in Architecture at North Carolina State University. While traveling from Venezuela to the United States, the box containing Osuna’s academic transcripts and art work was lost. Before being admitted to The School of Architecture, Osuna was required to meet with the Dean. Not having any documentation, the Dean chose to trust Osuna, taking him at his word, and he was admitted. Osuna says this moment, when he experienced “the best of humanity,” has defined his life, and the way he lives.
